Rattery update: we've slowed down breeding quite a bit cause of a move and new baby. Meaning it's gonna take longer than expected to get to pet quality.

The babies from B7 are finally big enough to get ID numbers! As expected we got black and siamese but I'll have to wait and see if three develop points or not to determine if we got himalayans or champagnes. Pics don't have IDs yet cause I'm hurting to bad to look for my record books right now.

Just wanted to hop on and say this cause I've been seeing it a lot on social media lately, breeding double-rex, hairless, and other "high issue" varieties does not make a breeder a backyard breeder. Our job as a breeder is to better the varietie or breed of the animal. Meaning we choose the best health and tempered animals to make more healthy and well tempered pets. What makes a BYB a BYB is choosing and breeding animals that you know isn't healthy or well tempered to make animals strictly for looks and money. Is there bad double-rex and hairless breeders? Yes, cause they don't breed for healthy animals. If you're gonna get double-rex or hairless ask questions about their breeding practices and educate yourself on healthy and safe practices for those varieties. And look for other red flags like, they're not open and transparent with their practices, they're breeding hairless to hairless without knowing lineage or without a possible foster mom, they're cages are dirty or they refuse to show caging, or if they're animals look unhealthy or sickly. Do your research and educate yourself before you bash a breeder for bringing varieties you don't know how to safely breed or breed a variety to better them.

We have another female with no material aggression with two week old babies. And our previous girl with no MA has been paired again with our nicest boy who also sired our current litter. We had all champagne and black babies in this litter, and expecting black, champagne, and himalayan/siamese in this upcoming litter.

I've should've posted this earlier but everyone involved with the rattery is taking this really hard. About 4 weeks ago we had something run through the rattery and it took most of the rats, including all the babies we were growing up. We only have 4 breeders left and they're not doing the best...

We're going stop breeding for a bit, till we get back on our feet good. This is NOT a permanent closing. We'll be breeding again once we have a better setup.

We have our hairless and one possible silvermane litter on the ground! We had a mix up with due dates and both girls gave birth in the same bin, so we're having some difficulties telling who's hairless and who's rex right now. But we'll be able to tell within a week!

Here's a little update. Fang unfortunately suddenly passed not long after being paired😔 Phoenix has two litters, one perfectly healthy and almost 3 weeks now! The other mom is having some lactation issues but is still able to feed the litter, she's being supplemented with protein and other lactation supplements. The the litter is growing and developing properly but on the skinny side, we are keeping a very close eye on them and have a foster mom setup just incase. We also have a lot of other litters paired right now to get the genes and temperament needed to continue lines. The new pairings are for our siamese/martin, silvermane and hairless lines!

Our boys fang and Phoenix are being paired for their last litters!
