MOSQUITO FACTS🦟

Horry County Mosquito Control wants you to know the potential health impacts mosquitoes can have on your fur babies.

Did you know mosquitoes can transmit Dilofilariasis, an infection caused by parasitic roundworms. This is commonly known as heartworm.

Mosquitoes are essential in spreading the disease among animals.

They become infected when they bite an animal already carrying heartworm larvae. They then transmit the larvae to healthy animals through a future bite.

Mosquito Control plays an important role in breaking this cycle by minimizing the mosquito population through various methods.
