Hey friends!
My soft re-opening for grooms was today, and it did go well, so I will be beginning to open my books by next week, however that’s not what this post is about.
I’d like to address an elephant in my room today.
If I have given you a bad experience you are beyond more than welcome to leave your honest review of my business.
Any and all honest and helpful reviews are appreciated.
I recently made a scheduling error and was left a negative review. That my friends is a valid response to being your clients no show. I too would be upset, and I’m not afraid to own up when I have human shortcomings.
What I will not tolerate without reminding people that I AM a 25 year old filled with fire, outside of only being a professional, is that degrading ME, MY HOME, MY BUSINESS, and MY CLIENTS. Isn’t tolerated here.
I’ll be very open with you all because I’m not afraid of my truths.
Anyone who has been to my shop over the last year would probably know my yard was messy.
I had struggled tremendously with my mental health throughout the last year, and struggled with a lot of thoughts of leaving my career, as well as ending my own life. I also lost my grandmother, the woman who raised me this past December.
I did still try my best to show up for all of my pups, as well as get out of bed each day, and through it all my yard, yes, did get pretty out of hand.
I’m thankful for those of you who still remembered how much I care for your babies, saw me for the groomer I am, and still trusted me, because dust on a bottle doesn’t make the drink bad.
Best regards to all of my clients, because without you, there are days your groomer wouldn’t get out of bed. Days when your dogs bring the light back out of wherever it’s hiding in me, and days where I see your pups on my schedule and it gets me up to fight the good fight in exchange for some puppy kisses, and the love and understanding only a dog can provide.
Please find kindness, even in leaving a negative review, and remember that positive reviews are appreciated as well, but never begged for, I’m confident in the foundation I’ve created as well as the many bonds I’ve built in my career.
And pardon my second reply, sometimes professionalism doesn’t give people the insight God is trying to send their way, and sometimes I get tired of getting beaten like a dead horse. 🐾
