I consider it a blessing when I'm able to donate to programs like Shop With A Trooper. This is a great program that the Kentucky State Police has for underprivileged kids in the state and one way you can help out is coming out this Sunday from 12-3 at the First Southern Veterans Ballpark in Stanford, KY for their 1st Annual Car Show with all proceeds going to this program.

Thursday, July 17th from 5pm to 8pm - Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer in downtown Danville as part of our ongoing "Third Thursday" event series!!

In addition to all the fabulous brick and mortar downtown restaurants, there will be some special pop-up food, drink, and treat specials for you (and your fur baby!) to enjoy.

🌭 Captain Frank's Hotdog Emporium - serving up burgers, dogs, tots, and more.

🍦 Finn's Ice Cream - delicious, homemade ice cream for the humans and special "pup cups" for the four-legged friends.

🍹 Lemonade on the Rocks - a summertime favorite with tons of different flavors, perfect for a hot day.

🌭 Brats & Brews in the Art Park - our friends at Murrini Cafe will be hosting a special outdoor dining event in the Art Park (the parking lot behind the Art Center of the Bluegrass). Chef Lindley is preparing a menu featuring craft beers and a variety of brats, including vegan options!

🍧 Snowie of the Bluegrass - cool off with a sno-cone...for you OR your canine companion. They'll have chicken and beef flavored options for the doggos. (You can stick to regular flavors, like cherry.)

When Eloise Peck’s mom sent me some thoughts to share about her daughter who did not survive the flood at Camp Mystic, the first thing she said was “She loved spaghetti, but not more than she loved dogs and animals.”
Now, her parents have asked me to share, you can make sure the love that Eloise (who was affectionately known as “Lulu”) had for animals is carried far beyond her short life by donating to a memorial fund set up by her parents for Blueberry Hill Farm and Rescue.
At just eight years old, Lulu’s profound love and compassion for animals shone brightly, reflecting the purity and kindness of her heart. She started a dog walking service this summer with 25% of her earned proceeds going to Blueberry Hill Farm and Rescue.
The memorial fund will continue Lulu's legacy by helping to provide care, love, and support to animals in need. Her parents, Missy and Tim, will be notified each time a donation has been made as a reminder of the kindness their daughter embodied.
