We do not have a facility or shelter. We primarily rescue dogs from the local high kill Boone County dog pound as well as some animals from within the community who need immediate assistance. Most animals are sent to out of state rescues however, we do adopt to the communi

ty on occasion to qualified applicants. All dogs are required to be spayed/neutered before they will be adopted out. All rescues are possible through donations, adoptions, foster homes, rescues and volunteers. This is where we need YOUR help!! This ER bill will be huge! Her poor neck is soooo bad and infected. She let me touch her a little through the trap. We will keep you updated, but please help and donate to this sweet girl!!! She is miserable and in so much pain! 🙏 Please share!!

White dog has been trapped! Boone County Sheriff Barker is assisting us in the transport to the emergency vet!!! Stay tuned! It will take a while pick up the trap and transport!!

Update: 1/2/26:
We have received messages from local folks that told us some areas she has been spotted. Six Mile Road is miles long and mostly private property. A couple volunteers went today and spotted her. She was on private property and we have not been granted permission to be on it. There are multiple other dogs on this property so placing a trap on that property would be unsuccessful in trapping her. We were contacted by other locals that have seen her on their private property. So we went to one of those locations and talked to the owner. While we were placing the trap out at that location, she appeared. She would get as close as 6 feet away. The trap will be set later today hoping she will appear and none of the other dogs show up. Owner will be checking on the trap every 6 hours. There is no collar on this dog. Her neck is necrotic and smells very bad with infection. We are asking everyone to stop feeding her so she will go to this trap to eat. Please don’t try to catch her, this will only cause her to run. Once we get her, we will be posting for monetary help when we know an amount. Please continue to monitor this post.

It has been brought to our attention that this dog on Six Mile Rd. is at large and has a collar embedded into her neck! The dog is skittish and won’t allow anyone to get near her. If this is your dog the collar needs to be removed immediately and the dog needs contained.

Next step, legally getting the Humane Officer and Sheriff’s Dept. involved to humanely capture the dog. They will set a trap for the sake of the dog’s life of removing the embedded collar and securing her as she will be treated as a stray and moved to the pound for her safety.

As we conclude 2025, we reflect on the year's progress and achievements. Specifically, 230 dogs and 82 cats were sent to rescue partners, totaling 312 animals.
We also assisted in the adoption of a few animals and helped/transported 35 dogs and 181 cats for spay/neuter services.
Many of our rescue partners are operating at full or over capacity, resulting in decreased numbers from our prior years.
We want to let our rescue partners know how much we appreciate their support! They are the lifeline for our dogs/cats.
Our focus remains on supporting the county pound and assisting with more spay/neuter services, and help coordinate rescue for community dogs/cats when we can.
Moving forward, we aim to establish more rescue partnerships to effectively serve the county pound and the community; interested rescue partners are encouraged to contact us to discuss potential collaborations.
We are hoping 2026 brings us less unwanted pets and more adoptions.
