Some people have told me I am just saving dogs at my house, let me clear things up. Imagine you have just been told you have stage four cancer, your time is limited. You have this dog that you raised and love as a family member, and now after this horrible diagnosis you must find your dog a new home. You can no longer give this animal the time and care it needs. Do you take it to a shelter to sit in a cage and hope for adoption before being put down is the only other option. Then you find a place where this where the animal will be safe, cared for, and more importantly loved. As you endure the stress of treatment and the reality of your diagnosis, you at least know your little friend is safe and cared for, one less stress. We still have that old girl, and she is very happy here, many owners contact us regularly, as giving up their pet was a difficult necissary decision. This is what we do, more than simply saving dogs, evey one has a story.
