FYI Bobcat and Fox season runs Dec 1 to Feb 28 every year. Please understand a taxidermist will not nor should they take a fresh killed animal in out of season. I know yall are seeing these in the woods right now, I have one on camera to. But don’t take them out of season the fines are high plus the coats are much better in late winter making for a much better mount or pelt.

We only thought teaching our children to hunt and enjoy the outdoors was exciting but teaching our grandkids that’s next level. Last season we took the boys a couple of times enjoyed some snacks and watched some squirrels. This season Alex has already asked when are we going hunting. That put us up to planning a better set up and this weekend we put in place. Hoping it pays off!

PSA: For our hunting friends. When you harvest an animal it begins to rot the second it stops breathing Please if you are going to have the animal mounted freeze it if you aren't going to get it to a taxidermist any taxidermist with in a couple of days. We took in a deer this evening that was left at the deer cooler for 10 days it was rotten hair was slipping a total loss. Deer coolers are just refrigerators and aren't cold enough to stop a hide from going bad.if you must leave it at the cooler ask them to put it in their freezer. We were able to provide a replacement cape for this client but we don't always have extra hides ( I gave him the hide off my 10).
