Another perfect Double Clutch!

Note, all double clutches so far have been 100% fertile with re-pairing after the female's first clutch. I think this will be our new method here as long as we continue to see good results with mamas and eggs. This and keeping springtails and Porcellionides pruinosus (mixed powder isopods) with the incubating eggs has given us our most successful year yet 🤩

The first clutch was very weak and did not make it through incubation. Hopefully these hatch and shed some light on Taro and Sunfyre's genetics!

Which makes 20250101 *at least* Coral Snow het Motley and 20250102 is at least Coral Snow Tessera het Motley. Waiting until their first shed to pop them. I'll also be holding these back at least until the 11 egg double clutch from Peaches hatches and I have a better idea of what I'm working with!

Next to hatch should include Shatter(s) 😎👍

Officially the first corn snake we ever produced. I've kept and deeply researched corns and their morphs since the late 2000s, when I was just a teenager. It took meeting my wife in June 2022 and her support to finally motivate me to start DGB Exotics. It started with 3 snakes I already owned as pets: Sarabi (2010), Tessa (2014), and Linguini (~2018), though Nova was produced by Gabi's first snakes we bought (Archangel x Silverwing).

This one snake is special on so many levels. She means more than she looks, not to mention her great genetics. So many options and possibilities with her...

And if you haven't figured it out, DGB is an abbreviation 😊

For the plant people out there!

After many years of growing propagations of this plant at my parents house, this is the first time I've had one bloom at my own house. We used to call it night blooming serious, but to be more accurate it's a dragon fruit!

Not sure what variety it is, but the species is sentimental to me because my Grandma had a gigantic slash pine that was absolutely covered with dragon fruit cactus, all the way into the canopy. It was incredible the rare nights where hundreds of white flowers would bloom all at once... I'm sure she's smiling down on me as I write this.

For now this one flower will do ❤️

The colors on this clutch are absolutely fantastic, though I would have liked thicker borders like their mom. I probably won't put this pair together again, but I will be breeding the mom to a nice HERO (Halo Extreme Reverse Okeetee) Male either 2026 or 2027. I want lavas... so I decided to make my life more difficult 😂

Could I buy a lava on morph market? Yes

Could I reach out to several amazing breeders I've met along this journey? Yes

Would doing this result in getting a gorgeous animal on a shorter time frame? Yes

But that's not what we do here. We have the ingredients, let's just make it ourselves 🤩

Double clutch success!!! 🤩

Peaches had a massively successful double clutch this year!!! While we still have 2 good eggs from her first clutch, I'm thrilled to have more babies from this pairing. Good Job girl, you get the rest of the year off to regain weight and relax 🥰

Both clutches are sired by the same male. No surprises expected here! Unless they're hiding hets 🤔 who knows, but I doubt that.
