Tegan is a very friendly but shy black lab. He does well with all dogs and loves people. He was most likely a breeder dog because he doesn't know any commands or how to act when simply asking him to come. He is 1/2 yrs old and has a very calm demeanor.

Hawk has been with us his whole life ad he is around 14 weeks now. He is a happy go lucky, wild and crazy puppy. All of his siblings have been adopted but he is still searching for his perfect fit. ROCKY IS BEING OVERLOOKED!!! It has been way to long since this boy has had a family. Between us and the other shelter he was in, her has spent 323 days in a facility. Our Story

The Humane Society of Jefferson County is a private non-profit 501(c)3, limited intake, no-kill organization governed by a volunteer board of directors and dedicated staff. HSJC operates and relies exclusively on private donations and grants. As a private rescue, HSJC is able to assist other non-profit animal rescues/shelters in East Tennessee by transporting animals to our adoption center from their facility. This helps reduce over-crowding, stress, and sickness and allows more animals to find homes. HSJC hopes to continue growing with the help of donations and grants to continue providing humane treatment and care for animals of East Tennessee. Donations are greatly appreciated and are used to rescue, treat, transport, and enhance the quality of life for all animals in our care that are waiting for their forever homes.
