These are dogs from the hoarding case in Queens. They had never been outside, or walked on a leash, or touched grass. They're all pretty smart and they learn fast.

Demi Is the first shepherd, she's about a year and a half, she's sweet and wants to be biddable. She is still looking for her family!

Bubba, who would like to crawl right into my arms all the time, actually went home with his new dad today but he is a sweet soft boy who's going to make a great family dog.

special guest appearance during bubba's video by Sam who is actually quite affectionate but will only get near me when another dog is involved.

The other four critters showed up today and they are just sweet as can be.

We're doing things a little strange this week but it's for a good reason.

We are giving the small dogs their own side of the back building because the small dog building has been momentarily taken over by rescue puppies and a couple rescued adults.

These dawgs came out of a hoarding situation and they need a little time, patience, and quiet. They haven't been outside before, walked on a leash or met strangers.

Sam, the adult, is just about completely shut down. He had to ride on a dolly out of the shelter, and even when he got here he was so busy trying to sink through the ground that he couldn't walk. When he saw the puppies he lived with he finally stood up.

There are a couple more adults coming tonight and I will update you on their status.

If you want to come pet the babies, you're more than welcome. We want them to be social happy critters.

If you've been looking for a dog and you think one of these looks like it's your dog, call me. (But not about the black pitbull - that is my dog Karma and her specific job in life is puppy raising.)

We're grateful to be able to help these dogs find their forever homes, and we can't wait to see how they change when they feel secure.
