My name is Candi Hoemberg, and I bring over 45 years of professional experience in dog grooming, showing, and breeding to Candis Canine Clippers. I began grooming at the age of 17, working out of my kitchen on a farm off Clackamas River Drive. What began as a passion quickly became a lifelong profession rooted in dedication, education, and respect for the craft. From my first dog, a Bedlington Terrier named Trix, I went on to show and breed several breeds over the years, including Afghan Hounds, Boston Terriers, and imported Serbian Rottweilers. This extensive background has provided me with a deep understanding of breed standards, structure, coat types, and proper maintenance across a wide range of dogs. Candis Canine Clippers is a small, boutique grooming shop focused on providing calm, low-stress, and unrushed grooming care. We offer one-on-one grooming and intentionally schedule a limited number of clients throughout the day to allow dogs to take breaks as needed. We specialize in puppies, senior dogs, and canines with disabilities or other special needs, tailoring each grooming experience to the individual dog.
Working alongside me is my granddaughter, Kaylee, a skilled groomer who has been immersed in grooming environments from a very young age. Having grown up in grooming shops, Kaylee developed her skills through years of hands-on exposure and mentorship. She currently grooms under my guidance, continuing a family tradition of professional, compassionate dog care.
