This image is a reminder of the quiet, unwavering love our cats give us, a love that never asks for more than our time and presence. They stay close as everything else changes, waiting in their own gentle way through every absence, trusting that we will return.

If I leave this world before my closest companion, I want my cat to know I did not choose to leave her behind. I want her to feel that she was never forgotten, that my love stayed right there beside her even when I could not. Cats may not speak our language, but they understand sincerity and attachment in their own deep, wordless way.
