Louisiana Seafood Gumbo
When my husband took his first bite of this Louisiana Seafood Gumbo, he was instantly transported back to our honeymoon in New Orleans. The warmth, the vibrant flavors, and the nostalgia all rolled into one delicious bowl just made our hearts dance! β€οΈ
Ingredients:
- 2 cups okra, sliced π₯
- 1 pound crab meat π¦
- 6 cups chicken or seafood stock π₯£
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes π
- 1 pound Andouille sausage, sliced π
- 4 cloves garlic, minced π§
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil π’οΈ
- 1/2 cup flour πΎ
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined π€
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning πΆοΈ
- 1 onion, chopped π§
- 1 bell pepper, chopped π
- 2 celery stalks, chopped π
- Cooked rice for serving π

Directions:
1. Begin by heating the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Gradually stir in the flour, continuously mixing until your roux reaches a beautiful dark brown shadeβthis will take about 15 to 20 minutes. π
