So many “problem behaviors” aren’t problems at all. They are instincts with nowhere to go. Your dog isn’t trying to be difficult. They are trying to be who they were bred to be.

Herders herd, terriers dig, guardians protect, retrievers retrieve. These drives don’t disappear just because our lifestyles have changed. If we only try to stop the behavior, we miss its purpose.

Fulfill your dog and give them work that makes sense to them. Swap “How do I fix this?” for “How can I channel this?” When purpose is met, behavior shifts, calm follows, and connection grows.

Our Story

By creating simple, easy to use, everyday training accessories with a fun dose of fashion, we inspire dog owners to get excited about training their dogs.

Bubble & Spike is a rescue story about a Chihuahua and a Pit Bull, the two most common breeds found in shelters. Bubble, the Pit Bull and Spike, the Chihuahua, were surrendered at a shelter after their owners complained of behavioral issues. Fortunately, a rescue stepped in to save their lives. Both Bubble & Spike went to foster homes where they completed their training program and were soon adopted to wonderful families.

Millions of dogs are surrendered to our local shelters each year due to behavior issues and sadly many don’t make it out. It’s stories like this that motivate us to take a bigger step in saving the lives of dogs - BEFORE they are given up on.

Our Founder, Aften Bell began designing leather accessories for Fossil Group in Dallas, Texas Fall of 2010. During that time, she was offered a design position for Skagen Leathers, a startup division of Fossil. She designed and developed leather accessories for the next several years and experienced the joys of corporate startup success as high sell throughs hit Nordstrom and stores alike. With goals of entrepreneurship tugging at her heart, she eventually left the corporate world and ventured out on her own. Aften claimed success with founding a 501c3 nonprofit Pit Bull rescue also known as The Love Pit, saving the lives of hundreds of pit bull type dogs, which continues to prove annual steady growth. Through this journey, she saw the need for better dog training tools - products that not only looked good but also helped you maintain control of your dog. From dog rescue, behavioral training, cool marketing and creative product design, she has a vision to inspire and educate pet owners worldwide.
