It has been three years since I have had a decent vacation. While most people locked down for Covid, my workload increased and I’m currently very burned out.

Will be taking the next month off to hike in the woods and spend time with family. Thanks for letting me rest and recharge.

Media actually got this one right.... weird. Pancreatitis is the biggest thing I see after Thanksgiving with pets.... it is from eating fatty foods.

Every year there are warnings about the harm Thanksgiving food can do to your pets. So, the VERIFY team checked them out.

Happy 20th Anniversary to me. Twenty years ago, I started my first job as a veterinarian. I thought I would be in private practice for five years and then go into a specialty (radiology, ophthalmology, or clinical pathology), industry, or the military.

But twenty years later, I still need my “fur therapy” every day. Nothing like having a regular clientele that you get to know and love. Glad that it all worked out the way it did. Here’s to the next twenty years!!!

Sitting here feeling the need to say something to all of my beloved clients. THANK YOU so much for letting me take a sabbatical in 2018. I am back, refreshed, recharged, and ready to work in 2019 and beyond. Looking forward to serving the local veterinary community in an official capacity as the president of the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association. Happy New Year to you all and know that you are appreciated!
