Liberty Ranch Canine

Liberty Ranch Canine Liberty Ranch Canine provides Dog Training and Handler Training for you and your canine companion.

Brian VanDePutte has over 15 years of canine training and handling experience. Starting with 5 years of active duty with the United States Marine Corps. During that time he participated in the Military Police Canine Handler’s course and later went on to attend the Department of Defense (DOD) Specialized Search Dog Course. His time in the military greatly benefited his knowledge of canines. After a

ctive duty Brian went on to train canines for a company contracted to provide IED Detection Dogs for the Marine Corps. Not only providing superior canines but training the marines who would handle them on the battlefield. He then worked with a non-profit, H4HUS, that provides veterans with Equine and Canine assisted therapy. He developed the Canine Handling Immersion Program which helps veterans work through issues using canines. Brian has continued an active role in sharing his canine knowledge with both Military and Civilians to help everyone have a better relationship with their furry companions. There are so many ways to have a great relationship with your dog from working with them on basic obedience, which in turn builds trust, and respect, to fun activities like throwing a Frisbee, scent detection activities, and taking them through fun obstacles like in a canine agility course. In general, if you give your dog some mental stimulation through task training and overcoming challenging situations, your dog will start to work to please you in anticipation of their next reward instead of trying to assert their dominance and rule the roost.
