Although your dog may be perfectly healthy, in a boarding facility he or she will be in contact with dogs who may not be. Kennels are notorious for contagious diseases like kennel cough, distemper, parvo, and canine influenza. These diseases are spread by direct contact like touching noses and coughing, or by sharing contaminated items such as water dishes or even toys.
