No matter how you look at it, sometimes the RIGHT ones can't stay forever.
Right was the puppy that failed ALL of the temperament test done by Paula....I mean amazingly failed.... I carried him around doing everything...dishes,vacuum, laundry, piddle...he went everywhere.
When he was ready I had him sold, yes sold. My heart boy Diago passed and Right was by my side...I just couldn't sell him. I told the amazing family (who BTW has gotten 2 of our dogs, FYI amazing family) I just couldn't let him go.
We did a rally title as a puppy. Note to self TELL judge your dogs name is RIGHT, you won't get points off for double command.
We showed in Canada and had great wins... we showed in us and it was work. Did health clearances and fair hips, no go for me. Another home, who had Hannibal (who recently passed) was his next destination. Hannibal was loved and I assumed Right would be to.
Finished his Am CH, since you don't waste a major. Daddy David did the honor. Finished his Can CH before sending him to retirement neutered.
Got a call he was being attacked by a borbel, and immediately retrieved. Took 6 months to get my old snuggle bunny back. Lesson learned.
Occasionally showed as a veteran earning best veteran and AOM at 10 1/2 years old at a specialty in Chehalis.
He was a good boy. Just wanting love. At almost 12 was a constant in the house.
Dr. Crawford was amazing coming over to the house to assist one of her grandkids across the bridge. We took him out for a p*e. Laid a blanket in front of the house on the grass. Talked sweet nothings. He didn't fight a thing. We said goodbye and his looked straight up at me and looked at Crawford and laid his head in my arms and passed. The wind picked up as if to send his soul up. Dr. Crawford said that was the best send off ever.
A piece of my heart left in that wind, as this was part of my past, our 2nd litter EVER. Why are boys so hard to say goodbye to?
