🚨 ALLLLLLRIGHTY THEN! CASE CLOSED! 🦜🐾

After FIVE WEEKS on the lam, Solus has officially been recovered!

Five weeks ago, an accident compromised her carrier outside Ten Bells, and Solus made a run for it. We’ve spent the last 35 days searching, setting traps, putting up flyers, and trying to convince this little fugitive to turn herself in.

Well, sometime between 4 and 9 a.m. on HALLOWEEN, she finally took the bait. 🎃

There was just one problem. Getting her trap out of its hiding spot required backup.

ENTER ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE.

And by Ace Ventura, we mean Bob Digi FROM TEN BELLS.

Y’all. We cannot make this up.

BOB CAME TO WORK DRESSED AS ACE VENTURA FOR HALLOWEEN AND WAS IMMEDIATELY CALLED UPON TO SOLVE AN ACTUAL MISSING CAT CASE. 💀😂

The man dressed for the job he didn’t know he had.

Solus is safe. The case is closed. And Bob has officially been promoted from bartender to Chief of Missing Meowsons. 🕵️‍♂️

🚨 OAK CLIFF, WE NEED YOU TO DO YOUR CIVIC DUTY.

Go to Ten Bells for brunch TODAY. Order something delicious. And TIP THE ABSOLUTE DAYLIGHTS OUT OF BOB.

He’s been serving drinks and apparently serving justice.

Please thank our neighborhood Pet Detective for his service. 🫡

Loo-hoo-se-her? NOT TODAY.

Welcome home, Solus! ❤️🐾

This is how Wolfgang Pup looked before his grooming — but we kept the Mohawk and beard!
He is around 4 years old, fully-vetted, loves alllll dogs, and they love him. Great with car rides and hanging out on a patio while you grab brunch!

Meet our cat transport homie, Tauvy. He’s not just a cat lover; he’s an incredible musician. This week, he transported critical meds for two cats in need of antibiotics, and then went on to entertain his guests at several venues, awesomely meowing guitar solos. Today, I personally witnessed his shaming a venue into playing “I2I” from A Goofy Movie because I mentioned my obsession with it…
You should probably send him compensation for this and for being available to save cats with critical medicine.

We need a little help, friends. 🐾❤️

We’re coming up on the tail end of kitten season, but apparently kitten season did not get the memo.

Today, Jolene, one of our sweet calico girls, had to go to the vet with what we believe is an infection following her spay. Because of her symptoms, we also needed to run bloodwork to rule out FIP. Her visit came to right around $300.

And then there’s Protractor. 📐

Yesterday, some neighbors found this tiny little girl outside and reached out for help. She’s only about 4–5 months old and weighs just 4 lbs 6 oz — and unfortunately, we believe she may already be pregnant.

At her size and age, carrying and delivering kittens could be incredibly dangerous for her, so we’re getting her in for an emergency spay. Between her spay, pregnancy fee, rabies vaccine and microchip, we’re looking at another $150.

So, just like that, we need to raise $450 to cover these two girls.

It has been an incredibly difficult kitten season. We’ve taken on so many animals who needed medical care, and while we’re incredibly grateful for everyone who supported us during North Texas Giving Day, we’re still waiting for those funds to actually reach us.

In the meantime, the cats keep showing up. The emergencies keep happening. And we still have to say yes when we can.

If you can help us raise $450, we can get Jolene healthy and make sure tiny Protractor never has to become a baby having babies. ❤️

Every $5, $10 and $20 donation gets us closer. And if you can’t donate, please share this post — it really does help.
