Good Shepherd Rescue of Texas Good Shepherd Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization that has been in continuous operation since 1999 in the Dallas / Ft Worth area.

We focus on rescue, rehabilitation & rehoming German Shepherd Dogs, as well as Belgian Malinois & Dutch Shepherds. All dogs in our program are in private foster homes. We provide medical care for gravely ill / injured dogs, spay / neuter, microchip, vaccinate, deworm, heartworm test & heartworm treat if applicable. 25% of our adoptions are with repeat families each year.

Fred, of the , was born 03.02.26. He's a chatty fellow, who enjoys having long conversations about who's bone is who's. Tripping over his own feet, and rolling like a bowling ball around the floor, are some of his favorite past times. His ears are figuring how how to stand, and he;s just as cuddly as he looks. He's getting along great with everyone he meets and all the foster dogs he lives with.

Little Barney was born 03.02.26. He's part of the . He's living up to the caveman tradition with his big feet and furry body. He's a very simple dog, enjoying the simple things in life, like laying on a cool floor, playing with fur and human siblings, splashing in water, and of course ... food.

Car rides are not his favorite thing yet, but that will come in time. He's just a playful baby landshark who really wants to be with his furever family to enjoy all the summer fun.

We are thrilled that the Communities Foundation of Texas is once again presenting North Texas Gives to Animals from May 14-31, 2026.

Thanks to help from generous givers and sponsors, Communities Foundation of Texas will cover all transaction and technology fees so that 100% of all donations go directly to nonprofits.
