Can't believe I've not posted about this cutie pie puppy in Dallas, my cousin's family dog Vixie. She's an adopted Yorkie mix and was incredibly terrified of people in her first year in my cousin's home. My uncle had found her after she had suffered a lot of abuse in he previous home and abandoned. But Vixie is the happiest pup now & also my friend :)

Throwback to the strong Rottweiler- Siberian Husky mix at the Airbnb host's home in Portland. She has Heterochromia Iridis, a genetic abnormality common in dogs, cats and horses where they have different colored eyes!

Posting pupperz pic after years only because . I met , an American Akita near campus today. Such a hyper 2 month old puppy with the softest fur imaginable. Akita and Shiba Inu aren't considered the friendliest of breeds primarily because they have evolved to be more picky about their friends, mostly depending on who they trust. Once they befriend, it is observed that you have their undying loyalty for good. That of course reminds me of the heartbreaking, beautiful story of Hachiko. A must watch on Netflix : Hachi, a Dog's tale. Be prepared to cry your eyes out though.

Came across a new breed today. ENTLEBUCHER. A mountain dog. EntleBucher in German means Dumped Books. Quite appropriate for a grad student eh?

Haven't been clicking the woofellas lately but was fortunate to receive an amazing present from my best friend this year! Can't wait to post cool trivia and I will hopefully get back to clicking soon :)
