Dear PCC family and friends,
It is with heavy hearts we inform you of the passing of our beloved friend, companion, and namesake of PCC, P***y.
P***y had degenerative joint issues for several years. We did all we could, including monthly shots of Lebrela that helped him do his daily wanderings to the end, but yesterday, his body just said "enough". He lost all use of his limbs and his organs started shutting down as the day progressed until finally, at around 9:30PM, P***y left us to go catch all those bunnies he's chased and never caught in life. In the morning, I knew something was different and that he wouldn't be with us long so I prepared a special breakfast of seasoned roasted garlic venison with mozzarella cheese for my boy which he heartily inhaled. Throughout the day, he had all the treats he wanted and finished with a ball of mozzarella cheese, one of his favorites.
Everyone says it about their dog, but P***y was truly an amazing canine. He wasn't just smart, he was problem-solving smart, including figuring out how to stop the 2 Italian Mastiffs nextdoor from barking all day and cleverly figuring how to retrieve a stubbornly stuck treat from a puzzle toy. I've recounted his exploits to so many.
Because of P***y's health issues, we took inTucker, our Pit Bull Terrier, to replace P***y as our ambassador here, at PCC, almost 2 years ago, but P***y was, of course, the original and still best ambassador PCC's ever had. Tucker's got P***y's ability to discern how he can play with different breeds and personalities, but P***y had wisdom and would immediately let us know if a potential club member was a good fit for PCC or not. Tucker will eventually learn this as well, but he has big paws to fill.
We thank God for having brought P***y into our lives . He has enriched us beyond measure with his love, loyalty and compassion.
Memory eternal, my friend!
