We are a family-owned and operated business dedicated to exceptional service and care for your equine family member in a serene location with facilities less than 15 miles from downtown Dallas.

12' x 14' small barn stalls (qty of 4), 12' x 20' interior stalls (qty of 6), 12' x 20' stall with attached run (qty of 3): $

1,025/month full boarding

Lessons available for beginners and intermediates:
$85 per one-hour group (4 horse limit)
$100 per one-hour private

Garland, TX: Are you a friendly and dependable person with experience in horse care? Consider joining our amazing team! This position includes horse care, facility maintenance, and daily ranch operations. It does not include on-site housing.

Job Duties Include:
Daily care of horses (feeding, watering, stall cleaning)
Turnout, blanketing, daily hoof picking and basic horse handling
General ranch maintenance (mowing, fence repairs, equipment upkeep)
Arena maintenance (dragging, watering, footing care)
Operating tractors and farm equipment
Keeping barns, paddocks, and surrounding areas clean and organized
Assisting trainers and staff with daily operations
Working horses through groundwork, lunging or riding
Optional riding lesson instruction (for additional commission based pay)
Optional trail guidance (for additional commission based pay)

We require:
Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
Horse and ranch experience
Able to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors in all weather
A helpful, hardworking, reliable, team player
Availability to work weekends

Schedule & Benefits:
Max 5 day work week (weekend days required)

Rocking J Stables in Garland, TX is looking to add a part-time Hunter/Jumper instructor to our team! We are a small, family friendly, team oriented stable with eight horses who are used for riding lessons and trail rides. The ideal person has a passion for horses and teaching, is friendly, dependable, and knowledgeable in the English Hunter/Jumper riding disciplines.

This position is primarily a teaching position with lessons on Sundays from 8am - 1pm, Mondays 4pm - 7pm, and Thursdays 4pm-7pm. There is the potential for more hours to teach additional evening lessons and to help with horse training (ground work, riding, desensitizing). We are looking for a reliable and responsible person to join our team full time to help with horse care and barn maintenance from 7am - 4pm Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Tasks include: bringing the horses in for meals, picking hooves, preparing grain based meals with supplements and medicine, blanketing, turning out, mucking stalls, scrubbing water troughs and buckets, providing basic medical care as needed to the horses (IM & IV injections, wrapping legs, administering eye ointment, dressing wounds, etc.), exercising the horses (ground work, lunging and/or riding), dragging the arena, mowing, w**d eating, fence repair, and assisting with shaving and hay deliveries. It’s with a heavy heart that I share the horrible news that our sweet barn kitty, Dog, is no longer with us. She ate something unknown that led to her early departure and her body was found this morning. May she rest in peace.

We loved her sweet, soft meows, curious nature and how she would come running for a pat, scratch and cuddle in the mornings. Barn life will never be the same without Dog. Heaven gained a lovely kitty angel today.
