Saddled miss Tilly today for the first time in a month or more, but she sure didn’t act like it like it’s been that long. She stood perfectly for me to saddle her up and went to work like she’s an old broke horse. Even stood for me to jump up and down in the stirrups a bit. Pretty dang good for only a yearling.

Still haven’t decided what color she is but I don’t think she quite has either 🙈

Tilly girl made the move out to a friends house for the winter and she settled in great! She’s going to get lots of trail exposure here! Yesterday she got to be ponied on some trails and across the creek and today we took a nice long walk to the top of the trails! Water is not an issue for this girl and neither is being ponied, or going out on the trail without any other horses in sight!
She is still available!

For your consideration
Tilly is a yearling grade quarter horse filly, currently standing about 14.3 at the shoulder. She is looking for her new home as I can only keep one horse at this point in time.

She’s got a really great mind on her and is super athletic. She grew up on a ranch in central Oregon and has had to learn to cover some rough terrain, so she could make a killer ranch or trail horse! Or she could go really any direction you wish, she’s got lots of potential. She’s a super willing filly and will do pretty much anything you ask! She has also given us reason to believe she is going to be very cowy, the girls’ got some moves!
So far Tilly knows all the basics such as:
- Ties
- Loads
- Picks up all 4 feet
- Stands to be bathed
- Stands to be saddled and bridled
- Gives to bit pressure
- Packs a saddle around (no buck)
- Goes over obstacles
- Ponies in and out of the arena
- Lunges and round pens
- Dog broke
- Yields hind end, forequarters, and side passes

She has a good enough foundation on her that you could turn her out until she’s ready to be started or continue building on what she already knows!

My favorite red head got to spend the summer out on pasture, we enjoyed a few outings and some trail rides, but now that summer is over it’s time to get her back to work! Girl sure beefed up over the summer and is looking better than ever! 🤩

More pictures of Denali in the wild, but he was actually with a band in these pictures! There is a bay roan in this band that talked a bunch with Denali when we were in the warmup arena at the competition, it was fun to watch them interact and find out that they were actually in the same band!
