Three years ago today, we brought home the little long-haired girl who would become our Miss Fluff. 🖤✨

Happy Gotcha Day, Ventress! 🐾

It is hard to believe it has already been three years since we brought you home. From the very beginning, you came into our lives with a big personality, a mind completely of your own, and absolutely no intention of ever slowing down. 😂 You are smart, stubborn, beautiful, and always ready for whatever comes next.

Over the last three years, we have watched you grow from that fluffy little puppy into such an incredible dog. You have stepped into the show ring, earned your German Shepherd Dog Club of America Temperament Certificate, picked up points toward your AKC Championship, and continued to prove that there is so much more ahead for you. 🏆🐾

But more than any ribbon or title, we just love the dog you are at home. You keep us laughing, keep us on our toes, and somehow manage to make every day a little more interesting.

Bringing you home three years ago was the beginning of a chapter we didn’t even know we needed. I will always believe there was something special about you coming into this world just six days after we lost Gemma. You could never replace her, but there are little things you do that remind me of her and make me feel like maybe you found your way to us exactly when you were supposed to. 🥹🖤

Here’s to everything we have already accomplished together and all the adventures still waiting for us.

Nothing is ever guaranteed in breeding, so we are keeping things low key and taking it one step at a time. That said, the stars may finally be aligning… pun fully intended. 😉✨ We are feeling very hopeful about what the future could bring with our special girl. 🖤

For now, we wait, dream, and keep our fingers crossed. ✨

I cannot believe our little man is EIGHT years old already! Where has the time gone? 🥺 Time seriously needs to slow down.

It feels like just yesterday we brought home a tiny 14 week old puppy who would completely change our lives. Vader was our very first Field Spaniel. The dog that started it all for us and led us to the amazing little family of Field Spaniels we have today. ❤️🖤

Through the years, he has remained the sweetest boy and the biggest lover. Rory’s heart dog through and through. He loves his people, loves the attention, and still acts like he is the star of the show. ✨

We love you so much, Vader Tater. Thank you for being the foundation of this crazy journey.

A little throwback moment for our boy, Armani. 🖤✨

Armani officially earned his UKC Championship back in September of last year, but we had a slight “oops” moment over here. 😂 Unfortunately, I did not realize he had to be fully registered in order to receive his certificate and be counted toward the Top 10 rankings. Once we realized, we finally got everything submitted back in April, and his certificate officially arrived in the mail today! 📬🏆

No matter when the certificate showed up, we are still incredibly proud of this dog and everything he has accomplished. From multiple UKC Best in Show wins to becoming such a fun and consistent partner in the ring, Armani continues to make us proud every single time he steps out. 🖤

One thing about dogs is that training never truly ends. 🐾✨

Lately, we noticed the crew starting to push some boundaries around the house, and honestly, that falls on us. 😅 Like many people, we got comfortable in our routine and became a little lazy about reinforcing the everyday manners our dogs already know. The important thing to remember is that training is lifelong. Dogs need consistent guidance and reinforcement throughout their entire lives, not just when they are puppies or actively competing. 🖤

So this week we have been getting back to basics and tightening things back up around the house. 💪🏻 One thing we have really been focusing on is threshold training. For us, that means the dogs must sit, wait calmly, and offer eye contact before being released through doors, gates, crates, or any type of boundary. 🚪🐕

Having dogs that rush through doors or explode out of crates is not acceptable behavior in our home. Not only is it rude, but it can also become a huge safety issue. ⚠️ Threshold work helps reinforce impulse control, engagement, patience, and respect for boundaries in everyday life. ✨

The dogs absolutely know these behaviors already, but training is not a one time lesson. It is something that has to be practiced consistently to remain reliable. The funny part is it only took about five minutes with each dog for them to pick everything right back up again. They just needed the reminder and consistency from us again. 🐾

Also… please ignore the disaster that is our breezeway right now. 👀 It is very much a work in progress over here. 😂

These photos holds a little bit of everything. The early mornings, the long days, the lessons, the growth, and the quiet pride in seeing it all come together. Not just in the ring, but in the partnership, the trust, and the love behind it all. ✨

So grateful for where we are, the dogs beside us, and the people who continue to support us along the way. We do not take any of it for granted. 🤍

What a weekend for Team Fluff! 🐾✨

Rory and Ventress absolutely knocked it out of the park in UKC this weekend, and we could not be more proud. 🖤

They went Best of Winners both shows on Saturday, then came back Sunday to go Best of Winners again and Best of Breed in both shows. 🏆🔥

With this weekend, Ventress now has all 3 of the required competition wins and is sitting at 80 out of 100 points toward her UKC Championship. We are so close. ✨

More than the wins, it is so special watching these two come together as a team. They are truly finding their rhythm, and it shows every time they step into the ring. 🤍

Ventress just floats around the ring, and her movement is absolutely beautiful to watch. She continues to grow and mature into something really special. 💫
