The Animal Welfare Committee advocates for animal welfare from the national veterinary perspective. The AWC works with industry, government, and public parties to address national and international animal welfare issues.

Every year, National Volunteer Week provides an opportunity to highlight the value and impact of volunteers.

This year’s National Volunteer Week runs from April 27 to May 3.

The CVMA thanks its more than 550 volunteers who have made a positive impact on the veterinary profession and contributed to our efforts.

The CVMA depends on the invaluable commitment of these devoted veterinarians, registered veterinary technologists and technicians, and student veterinarians who help the association achieve a variety of goals and objectives, and ensure the voice of Canadian veterinarians is heard across the country and around the world.
