Happy New Year!

Truth was . . 2020 was as rocky for us as it was for the rest of the world. We had delay after delay with the developers coding this platform. And covid-19's impact on the country caused a few of our initial shelters to back out of the beta test. With those challenges we were still successful in raising close to $10K for rescues pulling animals from our shelter partners

2021 is looking bright for our ability to allow you easily help more shelter animals in need! The majority of the existing development hurdles have been addressed. We have 3 beta shelters using the program and they, along with some rescue groups, have been extremely helpful in helping us identify bugs.

I want to thank you all for your patience as we get this program off the ground. I promise the wait will be worth it!

Please join us in making this the single most impactful tool to help animal rescues save animals in our nations animal shelters!

The article about the work of the Day of the Dogs organization, the inspiration for this tool was published yesterday in the Houston Chronicle.

We hope other shelters across the country have the same success that Harris County Pets has had over the past few years.

PetGiving allows the public to donate towards the care of animals in shelters, helping those who help them have funds to cover costs of care. There are so many people who care about the welfare of animals in our shelters and will offer to help.

We are still in beta phase right now with three shelters using the tool.

Saving the Day through Donations

Please bookmark PetGiving.org to easily identify animals in need in shelters.

Pre-funding the costs of an animal’s care while they are in the shelter, is the core purpose of PetGiving.org. These donations help encourage rescues to accept more at-risk animals. This is where the community is critical; when donors step in, they help pre-fund the cost of an animals’ care, and support rescue efforts removing the burden from the rescue group to raise all funds once in their care. If an animal leaves with a shelter foster, the funds raised for that particular animal go back to the animal shelter to help fund lifesaving shelter programming. The end result of these donations is more support for rescue groups which rely on donations to operate and shelters which are operating with a limited budget many times.

The tracking thermometer below an animal is updated in real time, so you will know how much funds an animal has at any given time.

"Good things come to those who wait." Well, it sure was a loooong wait, but that's what happens sometimes when you are building a new innovation from the ground up.

"Better things come to those who don't give up"
We encountered a few bumps along the way that tested our patience but we didn't give up. We are now here with a fantastic tool to offer animal shelters nationwide.

"the best things come to those who believe" We strongly believe that we have a lifesaving tool that has the ability to positively impact the lives of many animals (and the people that help them) nationwide.

We are thrilled to announce that our MVP build is complete and we are ready for our beta launch!! The first shelter to use PetGiving is Fort Bend County Pets - Fort Bend County Animal Services! The work Day of the Dogs has been doing at the Harris County Animal Shelter was the inspiration for this tool and they will be using PetGiving for their service to HCAS as well.

Palm Valley Animal Society will soon be up and running too.

We are so excited about this donation platform designed to help those who help animals in need in animal shelters. We look forward to hearing feedback from all of you.

2019 Petco Foundation Innovation Showdown!! It was such an honor to participate this year. We won $175,000 for PetGiving! We now have the ability to build this out as a tool that can be used to support rescues and shelters across the country.
