This weekend, our team at Animal ER of Northwest Houston treated sweet Dottie after she presented with proptosis, a serious condition where the eye is displaced from the socket due to trauma.

After a thorough discussion between the doctor and Dottie’s family about all available treatment options, her owner elected to pursue globe replacement. Thanks to quick decision-making, skilled surgical care, and dedicated monitoring, Dottie did great in surgery and is now recovering comfortably at home 🐾

Cases like Dottie’s highlight how critical emergency care can be—and how outcomes can be positive when treatment is prompt and collaborative. We’re so proud of our medical team and grateful to Dottie’s family for trusting us with her care.
