A few reminders as we begin what looks like our decent into the fall season…

I still cannot accept credit cards. Despite many attempts to either fix or cancel the service I cannot get either app to work correctly. I may choose to not accept them at all in the future.

I do take Venmo, cash app and Zelle and will begin doing Apple Pay shortly.

If you would like to be sure you have a spot for your dogs groom around the holidays, please book it now. I cannot guarantee I’ll have many spots open as we get closer and closer.

As many of you know I do prefer to text with you about appointments, questions and general info. As the volume of the business increases it may start taking up to 48 hours for a reply. Also keep in mind that if you text or call on Friday after 5pm to before Monday at 9am, that I will not respond until Monday. This is to ensure that I get a good rest in to make your pooches looking their very best!

Currently I’m having trouble with both my credit card company’s I use. One keeps getting hacked into and the other take the transaction and never deposits the money. Needless to say, I’m not going to be taking credit card payments for a while. I do still accept Venmo, cash app, Zelle and cash. I’m going to set up Apple Pay in the next few days as well. So hang tight, I’ll get this worked out and hopefully in the future I’ll be back to taking card payments.

I currently cannot take credit cards. The credit card company froze my account for 5 days to verify that I’m a real business (yes I know, after all this time) and so I’m stuck only accepting cash, Venmo, cash app or Zelle. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this may cause and should only be for this week.

I just wanted to clarify with everyone that I am NOT affiliated with Darla’s dog grooming in any way. I am my own complete separate entity and lease space there. It seems that there have been a few problems with my choice to move there. While I know it may be hard to make changes, please know that I did what was best for my business and for myself. I still operate the EXACT same way as before, it’s just a different location. I still have all the same beliefs and practices and that will not change.

I know that many of you are disappointed that I’m not doing pictures right now. Please remember that it was a free service and was in no way included in your cost to have your pet groomed. I will eventually bring it back but for now I have to let it go. Planning and prepping for the pictures was time consuming and expensive. Right now, I’m moving not only my home but my business, I had a child graduate high school and I was planning a graduation party. I still don’t even know where half my things are. So please bare with me as I make these changes in my life. The pictures will come back but I have to settle in first.

With the upcoming move….I want to reassure everyone that I still plan on honoring my previous standards of practice and commitments. No kennels at all any time unless it is absolutely necessary to kennel them for my safety or theirs. I will still be one on one…which means one dog at a time and I won’t be working on multiple families at once. For families of two or more…each pet will take turns while the other is being groomed. They will never be left unattended though and will always have access to a blanket and fresh water. Please remember as always I don’t tolerate flexi leashes. They’re dangerous for everyone involved and just plain scary. If you have questions, please google “dogs and flexi lead tragedy”. All dogs and cats are REQUIRED to be on a flea preventive at time of service. If they do not have one, they will be washed in a flea shampoo and you will be charged for it. Vaccinations are always recommended and as always, rabies is required by law. I won’t be checking for it but please note that you are required to have it done by law and can have your pet taken away if they aren’t. Bordatella vaccine is an absolute must! Even though I sanitize, it doesn’t mean your pet can’t still get kennel cough from the salon. It’s highly contagious. So help me keep your pets safe and get them on a flea prevention and a vaccine.

It’s moving week! I’ll be moving the business to a new location Tuesday and Wednesday and will begin operating from there on Thursday. The new address will be updated as soon as I get the key. You will all also be given the address when I text you for your appointment. Please bear with me this week as I will be quite busy and may not be able to respond promptly.

I’m currently booking out to mid June and unfortunately cannot squeeze anymore in. I strongly recommend you schedule your pups or kittys ahead of time even if you don’t think they need it. Before you know it, they will.
