SOLD. Connor is a seven-year-old Westfalen-papered warmblood gelding who stands approximately 16 hh. Jumper-bred top and bottom. This was my "keeper," brought along slowly and right, for my own use. Probably the nicest horse I've ever bred. Professionally broke to ride by one of the best trainers in the northwest as a coming four-year-old. Had a refresher as a coming six-year-old with another reputable operation, where he had the opportunity to hold a real job and work cattle. Then he came home and sat in the pasture for a year, due to other life obligations. Went out on trial this summer, and wasn't a good fit. When he came home, I put him to work, and he has a few rides under his belt now with an English saddle. He has been given time to mature completely, has been handled well, doesn't carry baggage or have issues to fix, he just lacks miles and off-the-farm experiences for his age. He is green. I don't find him overly sensitive or spooky, but he is timid in new situations, and could use a confidence-builder of a rider. Not a beginner or novice horse. Not a finished riding horse. He's a well-bred horse loaded with potential for someone experienced enough and patient enough to bring along their own. He's exactly what I intended to breed, and exactly what I want to ride, and honest enough that I really enjoy him as an older adult rider who doesn't ride consistently. If he stays, and my breeding program goes, that's great...but because I have to make cuts somewhere, he is available. Priced accordingly, at 8️⃣k. I reserve the right to pull him off the market at any time.
