PLEASE DONT SCROLL BY!! This go fund me is for members of the Smokey Bear Hotshot fire crew that are fighting the same fire complex as my husband’s (Tatanka Hotshots) crew right now in Ruidoso, NM. Most of you are aware of my husband’s occupation as a hotshot captain and the uncertainty we face all fire season as he is dispatched to fires all over the country. In this situation, four members of the local Smokey Bear Hotshots learned that their homes had been lost to the fires while they were still actively working the fire complex. These men continued fighting the fires knowing what they had lost, because that is what they do! They typically work 16 hour shifts for 14 days straight, the work is back breaking, and it is more often than not a thankless job. Please consider donating to help these guys and their families. Show them that what they risk everyday is not overlooked or forgotten!!
