Day two of was very successful in so many ways. It is always such a fun and learning environment and always put on consistently amazing every year! And this year we even had gorgeous weather on our side! Jolene and Marley had good, solid and consistent rides in both of their classes earning them returning blues in both riding classes. In their western championship class they tied for 6th and in English they placed 3rd. It’s been a long road with ups and downs and a lot of hard, work but the smile on her face when she heard her number being called back for her first championship classes was absolutely worth it. We were just hoping for a good experience for their first performance show and first outing without her aunt by her side, (although Jolene giving her a play by play on the phone after each class and what goals she wanted to set for herself for the next class💕). They did so much more than we could have expected. We are so incredibly grateful for our horse family that have done so much to help us along the way that I possibly couldn’t begin to list everyone but you all know who you are. The encouragement, support, offering to let Jolene ride their horses until Marley and she were ready, helping take care of them and having him boarded so I didn’t have to haul when I wasn’t feeling well, and the wonderful people that were cheering her and Marley on when they finally walked into the arena together for the first time to do more than just a showmanship class. And was absolutely irreplaceable in stepping up and taking care of them both and taking so much stress off of me.
