Free to good home! Mama and daughter were left behind at an apt complex so one of our clients took them in, but allergies has made it impossible for them to stay. She would prefer them not go to the shelter so she’s asking for us to share them in hopes someone may want a sweet feline to add to their family. Both have claws and need to be spayed still. Thanks

We lost another long time friend this week, Biscuit. He came to see us for grooming for half his life. He lived a long happy 16 years with the most loving parents Bill and Nancy. Biscuit was the sweetest soul and we will miss him.

WHAT YOU DON'T SEE AT THE DOG GROOMERS.......
You dropped your dog off at the salon and picked them up few hours later - fluffy, fresh, and happy. But what you saw was just the tip of the iceberg.

You didn’t see your groomer arrive early to open up the salon, disinfect tools, lay out fresh towels, and check the day’s appointments. You didn’t see them look over your dog from nose to tail before even lifting a brush - checking the coat condition, skin, eyes, ears, nails, and weight.

You didn’t see the careful way they clipped around a wriggly paw, or how they paused to let your dog calm down during the bath. You didn’t notice the matting hidden beneath your dog’s topcoat, or the way the groomer worked slowly to avoid hurting the skin beneath it.

You weren’t there when they spotted a red patch of irritated skin, or a small lump you hadn’t noticed. You heard them gently mention it to you at collection - not to worry you, but because they genuinely care about your dog’s wellbeing.

And after you left, you didn’t see the clean-down , the floor swept, crates disinfected, tables cleaned, blades oiled, messages replied to, notes written up for your next visit, and laundry on AGAIN.

All of that… for a price that’s often lower than what you’d pay for your own haircut or even for your acrylic nails done. And your hairdresser?
They don’t have to bathe you, squeeze your butt, clip your nails, or hold you still while you try to bite the brush or their hands when they clip your nails.

The truth is ……. dog grooming is so much more than a haircut.

It’s about health, hygiene, comfort, and trust. It’s about knowing dog anatomy, coat types, skin conditions, behaviour management, handling skills, and safe sc******ng techniques. It’s a profession that takes training, practice, and patience.
Most groomers got into this work because they love dogs. But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be paid fairly for the physical, emotional, and skilled work they do every single day.

If your dog leaves their groomer happy, healthy and looking good - it’s not by luck. It’s because you have got a good groomer.
So next time, take a moment to thank them. Please Leave a nice Google review. 😁

Tip them if you can, but if you can’t they will understand. And above all - please don’t undervalue them.
They’re doing far more than just washing your dog.

These adorable pups came in for their regular grooming sessions this week. Aren’t they the cutest! There is no better job in the world than grooming dogs because they are so loving and always make us smile.
Please remember we don’t take anyone who has just been boarded. We have a 7 day quarantine period after boarding pick up for the protection of our client dogs here, many are seniors and some are immunocompromised. Please keep that in mind with Spring break approaching. Despite having the kennel cough (Bordatella) vaccine they can still pick it up and spread it with showing little to no symptoms themselves, plus it doesn’t cover all strains or intestinal viruses that go around boarding facilities. We love all the dogs here and strive to keep everyone healthy! Thank you for understanding.

This beautiful Labradoodle “Sugar” had to leave her family last night after she was hugged and kissed by them for the last time. Her large 13 yr old body just could not carry on anymore, and she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge where she will someday see them again. My heart is breaking for them as she was one of the kids in their busy household going to ballgames and mingling with neighbor friends. Everyone knew her name ❤️and lived the best life! She had many friends who will miss her dearly like us. We have lost several senior dogs recently who we have loved for years and worked with every 4-8 weeks most of their lives. It’s been a rough 2 weeks. Please keep Sugar’s family in your thoughts as this is a difficult time for them. Run free sweet Sugar~ until we meet again 😘❤️‍🩹

These Puppies wish you a Happy National Puppy Day! All these cuties are under a year old and learning to love the grooming experience! It’s crucial to work with your puppies at home brushing them on an elevated surface and using a hair dryer so they are accustomed to it when you bring them to us. Always make sure to use treats to make it a positive experience and not too long of a process, their attention span is short like a child so make the most of that training time!

Sweet Asher boy crossed The Rainbow Bridge in his Mom Anne DeLong’s arms a few days ago. He was about to be 16 years old. He started coming to see us when he was just a young bouncy boy many years ago. We will miss him and his wonderful parents very much.
