A short break from shows before we start the Texas/OK summer shows

During this break we did some OFAs because we believe in doing all breed required OFA test (Hips, Eyes, PRA, and DM)

Iris was the class clown at the vet having a blast and she went to the autolube place after, representing our wonderful breed.

In other news we are hopefully planning fall litters (one out of Iris bred to the wonderful Dayton), BUT next month we will be posting a 2 year old Blue Merle girl available (full trained, vaccinated, and will be spayed, asking 1500) so keep an eye out!

We as breeders breed for ourselves first (we have kept at least one from each litter so far until we see how they grow up etc) But we love sharing our Cardigans with companion homes and occasionally show homes.

This past weekend 3 young Cardigans from us had great weekends (2 with Novice owner/handlers)

Harvey (Windmill's Can't Hyde From The Spotlight) in Colorado was WD/BOW for his first point at 9 months old with owner/handler Rebecca Newlin (Vad/Luna Sep 2024 son)

Whiskey (Windmill’s Thanks for the Southern Roots) in Michigan was WB/BOW at 6 months old for her 1st point owner/handled by Piper Richards and family (Dayton/Kit Nov 2024 daughter)

Lyric (Windmill’s Music in Flight at Jens'hal) played in 4-6 puppy in Lake Charles, LA and picked up a Group 2 and 3. Owned by Kamla Jensen Utz. 5 months old (Finn/Selena Dec 2024 daughter)

We love getting more people involved in this wonderful breed!

We currently don't have any show puppies coming available, but have a co-bred companion girl available in Kansas.

She’s currently UTD on shots, crate trained and mostly potty trained! (Babies are babies!) ✨

She absolutely loves to snuggle and would love to find a couch to call her own! She’s been around dogs of all sizes as well as cats and would do well in any type of home environment! 🩷

She’s also noticeably smart and would excel in rally, obedience, scent work.. you name it! ✨

Not as many conformation brags at this year's CWCCA National but Dayton was 3rd in 7-9 Veteran Sweepstakes and played in the Parade of Title holders.

Dayton and his very uncooperative daughter Selena (GCH Windmill’s Love Will Remember ROMB) also played in Brace and were 3rd out of 8. Maybe next year Ember will have hair and can play with Dayton. Selena is very ready for retirement and to try FastCat.

Our first brags from the CWCCA National Specialty come from performance events

Iris (GCH Sovereign Iridescence BCAT* CGC TKN ATT) and Jingle (CH Windmill's Jingle Bell Rock BCAT*) have fallen in love with FastCat and both earned their BCATs (we've also fallen in love with FastCat, so fun seeing the Herding drive kick in to get the bag)

Angus (CH Windmill's St Nick's Toffee PT HT* RN FDC CGCA CGCU TKN*) and Bruce (GCH Windmill’s Remember the Adventures PT HT* RN CGCA CGCU TKN*) earned their HTs in Herding, earned 4 Qualifying scores in Rally and placed in their classes, and earned thier Trick Dog titles, and earned both had 2 good FastCat runs. Both are owned and did everything with Melanie Conant

Atlas (CH Windmill's Bearer Of The Heavens At Lazy M RN CGCA CGCU VHMA TKA SCN DCAT) showed amazing in conformation and had 2 amazing FastCat runs (he was the fastest of our bunch). He's been off for several months while his owner Emma Montague had a litter but he will be back out to finish his Grand (half way there) and get more backend titles.

So proud of our versatile dogs!

A good weekend for the cousins in Abilene, TX!

Rizzo (CH Windmill-Del Sur's Bad Reputation CGC TKN) BOB Sun and Select Friday for 2 more champion defeated wins and points for her grand. (Miles/Dixie April 2023)

Baby Raven (major pointed Windmill’s Friday Night Lights) was WB/BOS over 2 specials Fri, WB/BOB over 3 specials Sat, and WB Sun for 4 more points. At 8 months old She has 12 points and just needs her 2nd major (Vlad/Luna Sep 2024)

Now we are off to the CWCCA National Specialty AKA the Cardi Party at Purina Farms, MO!

We already have brags from Herding at the National that will get some photos to brag about tomorrow.
