How is Purple Cat so affordable?

☝️The biggest reason we can offer low-cost surgery is that we specialize in cat spays and cat neuters. Working with only one species with just the need for sterilization surgery allows us to become very fast and proficient. This reduces the time needed to perform the surgeries, and therefore we can perform more surgeries in a given time for less cost.

✌️The other most important reason we can offer low-cost surgery is that we function with a very low number of paid staff members. We rely on word of mouth, Facebook, and the area shelters and humane societies to advertise for us.

If you have THREE CATS OR MORE in your household that are currently UP-TO-DATE ON DISTEMPER VACCINE, you can schedule them for surgery with Purple Cat Vet-Hayward.

Male neuter: $85
Female spay: $115
Farm/Feral with REQUIRED EAR TIP: $80
Rabies vaccine option $30

To schedule, text 715-419-2338.

Details such as check-in time and surgery instructions will be provided by text message.

In that message, we need your first and last name, number of cats you want to bring for surgery (must be at least three) and genders of these cats.

DO NOT REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT IF THEY ARE NOT FULLY VACCINATED FOR DISTEMPER.

Purple Cat requires all cats and kittens to be vaccinated prior to their surgery appointment. Only feral cats that cannot be handled are exempt.

This vaccine protects against three very common viruses (herpes, calici, panleukopenia) that cause symptoms ranging from upper respiratory infection to vomiting/diarrhea and very sadly to death. These viruses are found everywhere in the environment – they are outside your home and sometimes can be tracked into your home. We have made this a requirement due to the increased number of cases this year.

Meet Gena-our new assistant, and Truffle-our best new top fan.

What a great day we had today in Hayward. WE LOVE HAYWARD. Catkins Animal Rescue Inc from Park Falls, Wisconsin, brought 30 cats to our new location for surgery. Truffle in particular was a fantastic patient and is ready for adoption. Who loves black-and-white cats! They’re our favorite! (He’s 9 weeks old and neutered and you can contact Tanya over at Catkins for an application.)

We have spayed and neutered over 40,000 cats in the last six years and some folks STILL have not heard of us.

If you have had a positive experience with Purple Cat, please put in a review on Google. Give details that will help cat owners feel good bringing their cats to Purple Cat for surgery. If you had a poor experience, of course, you're free to post that as well, but I hope you contact us first so we can improve. Purple Cat wants nothing more than to prevent unwanted litters of cats, and it starts with affordable spay/neuter options.
