We might not have any livestock guardian dogs. We sure do have a dog that takes his job to heart. I watched my 8-year-old Dane Moose scare a grow man today. We have a fence in yard there is a reason for that. Our Gesse has made it their job as the guardian of all the birds and well me. They scared the poor nipsco lady.

I know my time with Moose is getting shorter by the day. When it is his time that is something, I don't think I will recover from. I was the first thing he saw when he was born. We watched him and Bocephus grow together. I hurt sometimes watching him getting up. However today he looked 4 years younger protecting me.

Today we are having Dr.Pepper port-a-pit chicken for dinner. We want to say thank you to Rockin’ Rooster Homestead for the beautiful chicken. It still has 30 or so minutes left to smoke.

Let's talk about bartering... We have ground beef. Will have half a hog available. What we are looking for is already processed meat rabbits. We are open to other things as well.

We don't need processed chickens we have our dealer for that lol.

I know I said NO MORE GOATS however dairy goats are starting to be a need. Our 13-year-old drinks a gallon of milk in a day. Adam is drinking about a gallon a week as well. Yes, I would rather have a milk cow and that's the end goal but for now, milk goats.

We have half a hog available, and we will have more ground beef/hamburger patties available. Ground beef will be 2lbs and the patties will be 6 in a pack. Unless we get asked for something else. They go in at the end of September. We do have ground beef available that are 1lbs package
