🐾 WE NEED OUR WEEKDAY HEROES 🐾

Our weekends are usually full of amazing volunteers showing up for the dogs… but during the week, the shelter gets quiet.

Weekday volunteers help with:
🐶 Walks & potty breaks
🦴 Enrichment and playtime
🚗 Transports to appointments
💕 Giving scared or stressed dogs and cats some much-needed love and attention

Even just an hour can completely change a shelter dog’s day.

The truth is, weekdays can be hard on shelter dogs. The kennels are louder, the days feel longer, and many of them spend hours waiting for someone to stop by and notice them. A walk, a cuddle, or even sitting with them for a few minutes can make a huge difference.

Whether you’re:

☀️ Working a flexible schedule
☀️ Home for the summer
☀️ Recently retired
☀️ Or just looking for something meaningful to do…

We would LOVE to have you join our volunteer family.

Meet Toby… or as we’ve recently learned, his real name is Bear! 🐻

This sweet boy is as smart as he is goofy — even if he still falls for the fake throw every single time during fetch 😂 He already knows sit, paw, stay/wait, and “drop it”… eventually. He is also completely housebroken, which makes moving in easy!

Bear is around 3 years old and appears to be a shepherd/lab mix with a fun-loving personality and so much love to give.

And now for the best part… his adoption fee has been completely sponsored!! 🎉

If you’ve been thinking about adding a dog to your family, stop by tomorrow between 10:00–4:30 to meet this handsome guy. Bear is playful, affectionate, and ready to find his forever home ❤️
