A quiet day at the sanctuary. Even though Kaydin stayed in his room always, the changed energy here is affecting everyone. The kids are making sure to give me lots of love. Morty is now alone in the felv room. He's still mostly feral, so he seems ok, but I know it's a huge change for him, so I'm trying to spend closer time with him (probably closer than he would like, but oh well). I'm also trying to recognize any signs of his progression, now that I know what signs Kaydin had. The kittens seem to think that extra neck biting time will make everything better, so they're rampaging at 4000 percent.

My beloved Kaydin crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. He came into my life 1.5 years ago as a shy, scared feral. It didn't take long for him to realize that the inside life, with churus and hugs and a never empty food bowl, was a really sweet deal. He turned into a super lovemonkey. Unfortunately, he tested positive for feline leukemia, FeLV. They told me his life would be short, but he was so happy and healthy, it was hard to believe. The past few days saw a rapid decline. He was loved and happy, adored and able to sleep and play. Rest well, my monkey. I love you.

These two mommies are very much DONE with their kittens and are ready to be adopted!! Opal and Twilight. Both about 1.5 years old. Both spayed and vetted and pure sweethearts.

Butternutsquash is a dope but he's getting better about not playing so rough. The kittens are helping him learn how to play, and the mommies are whalloping him when he's too.... enthusiastic.
