Have you ever watched your dog do something and thought... why on earth did they just do that?
That question is exactly what our Why Does My Dog seminar is built around. 🐶
Understanding your dog goes so much deeper than sit, stay, and come. It starts with understanding how their brain actually works.
Dogs experience real emotions. They feel fear, joy, frustration, and stress in ways that are neurologically similar to what we experience as humans. When we understand the science behind those emotions, we stop seeing "bad behavior" and start seeing communication. We stop punishing reactions and start addressing the real cause.
One of the most important concepts we cover is cortisol stacking, and it is something every dog owner needs to know about.
When a dog encounters something stressful, cortisol (the stress hormone) spikes in their body. That spike can take 48 to 72 hours to fully clear. If your dog faces another stressor before the first one has cleared, the cortisol stacks. And stacks. Until even the smallest trigger causes a seemingly out-of-nowhere explosion of anxiety, reactivity, or shutdown behavior.
That dog that "just snapped for no reason"? Chances are, it was not for no reason at all.
This seminar gives you the knowledge to see what is really going on beneath the surface, so you can be the calm, informed advocate your dog needs.
If you want to understand your dog on a deeper level, this is where it starts.
