Did you know that pets can suffer from heatstroke in just minutes? As temps rise, it’s critical to keep our furry friends safe!

🚫 NEVER leave your pet in a parked car — even with the windows cracked, temps can skyrocket in seconds.
💧 Keep fresh, cool water available at all times.
🌳 Walk early in the morning or late evening — hot pavement can burn paws!
🏠 Make sure pets have access to shade and a cool place to rest.
🚿 Use cooling mats, frozen treats, or a gentle hose rinse to help them chill out.

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke in pets include:
– Excessive panting or drooling
– Lethargy or confusion

Walking your dog in extreme temperatures can be dangerous.
🔥 On a 90°F day, sidewalks and pavement can heat up to 140°F—hot enough to cause painful burns to your dog’s paws in just seconds!

💦 Unlike us, dogs don’t sweat to cool down. They rely on panting and limited paw sweat glands, making them vulnerable to heatstroke, especially during walks or playtime in the sun.

🚨 Watch for signs of heatstroke:
• Heavy panting or drooling
