☀️🐾 Shelter Dog Pool Pawty! 🐾☀️

Our shelter pups are getting a special day all to themselves! 💙

On Wednesday, June 18, Crowley Animal Services will be hosting a Shelter Dog Pool Pawty at the Crowley Crossing Dog Park. Our adoptable dogs will enjoy a morning of splashing in pools, playing with water toys, cooling off under sprinklers, and having a blast outside the shelter while we capture some adorable photos and videos to help them find loving homes.

To allow our shelter dogs to safely enjoy the park, Crowley Crossing Dog Park will be closed to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on June 18.

We appreciate your understanding as we give these deserving dogs a fun enrichment day and an opportunity to show off their personalities. Stay tuned for pictures from the event—you might just meet your new best friend! 🐶💦

Taki is a 1-year-old Bull Terrier mix weighing 52 pounds. He is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He loves walks, playtime, and staying active, but once he's burned off some energy, he's happy to curl up on the couch and be your favorite cuddle buddy.

Taki does well with kids and other dogs. If you already have a dog at home, a meet-and-greet will be required before adoption to make sure everyone is a good match.

PLEASE be aware when you are walking your pets with the rising temperatures. Even when the temperature is 80 degrees outside the temperature of the concrete can be over 100 degrees!!!

💔 PLEASE HELP TATER TOT 💔

Tater Tot is our most urgent dog in need right now.

He came from a hoarding case involving 26 dogs and has been through more than any dog should. Because of that, he is slow to trust and needs patience, understanding, and a calm home where he can feel safe.

Tater Tot recently had an adoption that didn't work out. While he did great with another dog, he became overwhelmed in the new environment, escaped, and spent days loose before being safely returned to us.

The good news? Once Tater Tot trusts you, he is incredibly loving. He adores Animal Control Officer Elijah, who fostered him over the weekend. Elijah reports that Tater Tot does great with dogs and cats and loves to snuggle with the people he trusts.

Tater Tot isn't the type of dog who will fall in love on day one. He needs someone willing to give him time to build that bond. But when he does, you'll have a loyal best friend for life.

He would do best in a quiet home without children and with someone who understands that patience is key.

Please help us find Tater Tot the second chance he deserves. Rescue placement or adoption is urgently needed.
