Meet Niko! He is a 18 week old raccoon who has became a frequent visitor for all of his kit vaccines. 🦝 In this photo, Niko was waking up from his neuter while cuddled up with his blanket. Considering the surgery, he woke up a very happy baby that wanted all the lovings and comfort. πŸ₯Ί Niko is a goofy boy full of sassiness and lots of love, we always love seeing him! ❀️

Meet Buddy! She is a shih-poo, and was only 15 weeks old in this photo. 😍 Buddy was a surprise, as we initially thought she was a boy! (This happens more often than you think - it even happened to one of our staff members with their dog. 😜) Regardless, she is absolutely precious and is so full of love. Did you know? Naked mole rats can survive in 0% oxygen areas! These guys can live up to 20 minutes in a 0% atmosphere without any bodily harm, although they can also handle extremely low levels of oxygen for several hours at a time. This is all possible through their bodies production and storage of glucose!

Did you know?

In the State of Tennessee, all dogs and cats over the age of 6 months MUST have an up-to-date rabies vaccine. Rabies vaccines must be renewed every 1 to 3 years, depending on the type of vaccine given. πŸ’‰

It is important to put an updated rabies tag on your pets collar, and carry their rabies certificate on your person while traveling with them (even if its just to the grocery store.) This helps provide information in the event of an emergency, and prevent pet euthanasia. 🏷️

Having pets that are not rabies vaccinated can lead to situations such as a 10 day to 6 month pet isolation quarantine, owner fines/lawsuit, and euthanasia. 🧾

For livestock and domesticated wildlife (ferrets, raccoons, skunks...) we highly suggest researching your COUNTY LAWS, as certain counties in Tennessee require rabies vaccines among other species. πŸ„πŸ¦

Jellyfish help maintain the oceans ecosystem, while eating algae, plants, small fish, and even other jellyfish. πŸͺΈ Unfortunately, they sometimes become snacks for turtles, sharks, whales, and even crabs. 😳
