I've been going back and forth on holding fall trials... with Covid, with USBCHA rules/Guidelines/Best Practices. I have talked to 10 different individuals to judge this event, most are not willing to fly at this time...so I am working to confirm a judge. We will get one, I have a couple of people that are in the works. With this said if you do not feel SAFE to travel, please do not come. We will see you at a future event. All trials will be sanctioned with Texas Sheepdog Association (in Case you decide you want to go to their finals next fall...become a member) and hopefully with USBCHA after August 1.
So here it is in short. To help people travel less, we will be combing trials. Rather then 2 fall trials, we will be holding 1. We will combine WNB and Gobble Bobble. In addition, all trials will be limited...so we will draw for who gets in. No third dogs and no crossing over into a different class.
We will go with TurDucken SDT for November 19 - 22, 2020. We will go forward holding a Range Stock Trial. But the information below is subject to change based on entries or other unknown factors.
Open will be held in the big field Friday-Sunday.
Nursery will run on Range Stock on home field Friday am & Sunday am.
Open Ranch will run Saturday x 2 on Home Field on Range Stock;
Ranch and Novice Sunday on Home Field on Yearling Farm Flock
This will split up the handlers congestion in any one area. We will not be providing meals or access to meals. So plan accordingly. We will have some PJ's available for use. If your worried about using them...don't! Plan accordingly. I will not be propping doors open, as I am liable for damage to these units. I will provide access to hand sanitizer (use Sanely). I will look into hand washing options...we will have something, not sure what or how many. We will be needing volunteers as we will have to keep both fields running smoothly.
We are a few months off from getting all the details lined out, which normally by now I have them solidified.
Plans for January Saguaro are definitely a go...with a great judge and looking forward to kicking off a New Year. Should be followed up end of January with the JCM.
