ed Trail Rides north of Winchester, Va by 18 miles and South of Berkeley Springs, WV by 12 miles on Hwy 522 that connects those 2 towns. Our trail rides are by appointment. We'd love to have at least 24 hours to book your trail ride. This is a real riding experience. We ride to your level of comfort. If you want to just walk, that's what we'll do, if you want to pick up the speed a bit, by all means we will provide a super smooth running walk (in place of a Trot), and a Canter too! We want you to feel Confidant. We also sell Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle Horses, (to people all over the country), so we provide a Bed and Breakfast like experience, inviting you to stay with us so that you can take your time and learn about how to Ride a Tennessee Walking Horse or Spotted Saddle Horse, and we have a superior selection of smooth, gentle, experienced Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle Horses for sale, that we also rent for the $45 an hour trail rides. We sell lot's of horses, all year long, so this web page is in constant transition - but I feel very confidant that I have the horse you want. Any horse here for sale must be a proven trail horse. I bring horses out of Tennessee approx every 6 weeks and our selectioin is second to none. None of the horses for sale here come from sale barns. They are family pets. My horses don't have much of a show ring background either so they are not nervous or wired up. Several have been a family pet and shown by that family, but predominantly a trail riding horse, so if you'd also like to trail ride and compete in a show ring, it will be nice to know you are buying naturaly talented gaited horse that doesn't need soring or special devices to win in a show ring. These trail savvy gaited horses are THE ideal trail pleasure ride. Ride a horse that gives you permission to ride! We specialize in natural moving and smooth gaited trail horses with LOTS of experience on trails. Our Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle horses double as horses we use here for our custom trail rides, birthday parties and riding lessons. Why not give them a job to do till they find their "forever home". Besides the trot not thing, our horses are GORGEOUS - we specialize in quality gaited horses of unique color, with loving personalities. We have every color under the rainbow. You'll look great on the trail riding a well behaved Palomino, Buckskin, Blue Roan, or Tobiano (Spotted) beauty. Occasionally we carry Missouri Fox Trotters and Rocky Mountain horses for sale too. If I don't have what you want, I can find it. We lived in Tennessee for 8 years and I find a sound sane smooth gaited horse better than most folks can.

Riding instructor and Trail Boss needed to teach individuals of all ages and skill levels how to ride horses and provide exercise for a few of our horse boarding clients. We focus on "Centered Riding" equitation techniques, explaining balance, stressing safety, and helping students progress in their riding abilities, and creating a safe place to learn and grow in their understanding of trail riding. We review basic horse care, grooming, and stable management, while also evaluating student progress and creating personalized lesson plans to meet their needs. Our farm focuses on trail riding and not show ring or jumping. We use gaited horses for our lessons and trail rides. Must provide recent work experience references with positive feed back. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and can't mind getting dirty. Ability to work with horses is directly reflected in your compensation. Email all inquiries to [email protected]. Sometimes help will be asked to feed and clean stalls. Strong customer skills

BINGO!!!! 👌 We dont normally share memes; sayings and what not directly to the page but this one deserves a SHARE! Read it and read it again! ✌️ Couldn't be more accurate! I have seen this happen time and time again, horses aren't always the same with all handlers. There's many that'll out smart you, get away with anything and everything, walk all over you if you let them, wait until you've put in the work to earn their trust and respect, and some that just flat out dont like you, ain't happy with you, your lack of education, your lack of consistency, your lack of confidence, their current training, handlers, job, feed, turn out schedule etc. Could be a number of things under the sun but with a change of hands they are a completely different horse!

My dear friend Greta Small and her fabulous dog boarding kennel. You won't find anyone to care for your dog while you're away on vacation, any better than Gretta, (ever).

Soooo fun!

Golden Cloud made an early appearance as the mount of Maid Marian, played by Olivia de Havilland in The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938). A short while later, when Roy Rogers was preparing to make his first movie in a starring role, he was offered a choice of five rented "movie" horses to ride and chose Golden Cloud. Rogers bought him eventually in 1943 and renamed him Trigger for his quickness of both foot and mind. Trigger learned 150 trick cues and could walk 50 ft (15 m) on his hind legs (according to sources close to Rogers). They were said to have run out of places to cue Trigger. Trigger became such a ham that as soon as he heard applause, he would start bowing and ruin that trick. He could sit in a chair, sign his name "X" with a pencil, and lie down for a nap and cover himself with a blanket. Rogers' most carefully guarded trade secret was to get Trigger housebroken. "Spending as much time as he does in hotels, theaters, and hospitals, this ability comes in might handy and it's conceded by most trainers to be Trigger's greatest accomplishment." —Glenn Randall, wrangler with Hudkins Stables.
His horse was so important to Rogers that when he purchased a "Best Wishes for the New Year" advertisement in Variety, he signed it "Roy Rogers and Trigger". Trigger was ridden by Rogers in many of his motion pictures, becoming much loved by the youthful audience that saw him on film and in Rogers' 1950s television series with his wife, Dale Evans, who rode her trusty buckskin Quarter Horse, Buttermilk.
Trigger became the most famous horse in film entertainment, even having his own Dell comic book recounting his exploits.
Roy Rogers made many personal appearances with Trigger in tow. More than once, he escorted him up three or four flights of stairs at hospitals to visit with sick children, according to his autobiography Happy Trails.
