Bailey's Walking-After-Midnight Farm Guided Trail Rides, Pleasure Riding Lessons for All Ages & Horse Boarding Welcome to Bailey’s Walking-After-Midnight Farm (formerly Bailey's Black Widow Farm).

Farm is located at the top of the state of Virginia, in the heart of Virginia’s horse county. We offer Custom Scenic Trail Rides for Small Groups - 1 to 3 riders is best. Our trail rides are also a riding lesson. We are specialists in making riding fun and safe. We pride ourselves on providing trustworthy gaited trail horses.(Tennessee Walkers and Spotted Saddle Horses are what we rent for our Guid

ed Trail Rides north of Winchester, Va by 18 miles and South of Berkeley Springs, WV by 12 miles on Hwy 522 that connects those 2 towns. Our trail rides are by appointment. We'd love to have at least 24 hours to book your trail ride. This is a real riding experience. We ride to your level of comfort. If you want to just walk, that's what we'll do, if you want to pick up the speed a bit, by all means we will provide a super smooth running walk (in place of a Trot), and a Canter too! We want you to feel Confidant. We also sell Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle Horses, (to people all over the country), so we provide a Bed and Breakfast like experience, inviting you to stay with us so that you can take your time and learn about how to Ride a Tennessee Walking Horse or Spotted Saddle Horse, and we have a superior selection of smooth, gentle, experienced Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle Horses for sale, that we also rent for the $45 an hour trail rides. (Cash works best please, re the trail rides). Please call Melissa Bailey (540)303-0569 to book your trail ride or to learn about the horses currently available for sale here. We sell lot's of horses, all year long, so this web page is in constant transition - but I feel very confidant that I have the horse you want. Any horse here for sale must be a proven trail horse. I bring horses out of Tennessee approx every 6 weeks and our selectioin is second to none. None of the horses for sale here come from sale barns. They are family pets. My horses don't have much of a show ring background either so they are not nervous or wired up. Several have been a family pet and shown by that family, but predominantly a trail riding horse, so if you'd also like to trail ride and compete in a show ring, it will be nice to know you are buying naturaly talented gaited horse that doesn't need soring or special devices to win in a show ring. These trail savvy gaited horses are THE ideal trail pleasure ride. Ride a horse that gives you permission to ride! We specialize in natural moving and smooth gaited trail horses with LOTS of experience on trails. Our Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle horses double as horses we use here for our custom trail rides, birthday parties and riding lessons. Why not give them a job to do till they find their "forever home". Besides the trot not thing, our horses are GORGEOUS - we specialize in quality gaited horses of unique color, with loving personalities. We have every color under the rainbow. You'll look great on the trail riding a well behaved Palomino, Buckskin, Blue Roan, or Tobiano (Spotted) beauty. Occasionally we carry Missouri Fox Trotters and Rocky Mountain horses for sale too. If I don't have what you want, I can find it. We lived in Tennessee for 8 years and I find a sound sane smooth gaited horse better than most folks can.

Celebrating King’s 24th birthday today — one of the very first hearts of Bailey’s Walking After Midnight Farm.
He was born here, raised here, and loved here from the very beginning. He was sold to an wonderful person whom needed to sell him in 2012 and that's when Tom and Sharon at Raynor's Hilltop Farm gained ownership. His sister Buttermilk, now 22, is still with us carrying that same gentle sweetness. Their beautiful mom Queenie has since crossed the rainbow bridge, but her spirit lives on in both of her babies.
Happy Birthday, King. You’ve been part of this farm’s story from day one, and we’re grateful for every year with you.

Happy 24th Birthday to our King!
Today we celebrate the one who’s ruled our hearts and pastures for nearly a quarter of a century. From all of us two‑legged and four‑legged friends at Raynor’s Hilltop Farm — the people, the horses, and every critter who’s shared a stall or a story with you — we’re wishing you a day full of sunshine, treats, and love.

You’ve taught us patience, pride, and the joy of a good roll in the grass. Here’s to you, King — still majestic, still mischievous, and still the heart of the farm. 💙🤍

Happy 24th, King — we love you!

This is Pumpkin and Millie! 🐾
They are the most affectionate pair! 🥰 We are hopeful we can find a home together for them. Pumpkin, (on the right), is partially blind and deaf and can rely on his sister, Millie, for comfort and support. He is 2 years old and very spunky and sweet. Millie (on the left) is a 10 year old senior sweetheart who, like many older pets, has a few medical concerns that will need to be monitored. Her future adopter should be prepared to stay in touch with their veterinarian to discuss any recommended care or treatment options. 💙 We’re hoping they can find a FURever home together with someone who has enough love and room in their heart for them both. 🏡

We are accepting applications in person today at our Adoption Center! They will be ready to go home tomorrow.
