Hitchel Farm We are a family owned farm in Western Kentucky. We raise hormone and steroid free beef cattle, make maple syrup, sell eggs, jelly, and various garden goods.

We sell USDA beef at the Beaver Dam farmers market. We’ve been serving Ohio County since 2014.

We are honored to be a part of AG DAY again here in Ohio County.

For those who are not familiar with it, every fourth grade student in the county comes out to spend the day learning about agriculture. There are different stations where the students learn everything from tractor/UTV safety, water conservation, raising animals and our station teaches growing pumpkins and making maple syrup. Of course, our station lets the kiddos sample pumpkin pancakes with real, local maple syrup.

A lot of work goes into this by a large number of people, but everyone looks forward to it or has a favorite memory from their visit. I am thankful for our farming community.
