Exotics are finally starting to show their true colors!

Little experiment on the farm. Hatch rates haven’t been the greatest so we are trying out the dry incubation method. 106 Ringneck eggs in the incubators and we will see if the rates improve or not! Stay tuned for updates

Our coturnix quail made the big move tonight and moved out of the brooder to give them and their pheasant roommates some more space!

Hopefully all the noise is a big thanks from our coturnix quail as they move into their new/ bigger enclosures! In the next few weeks we will be able to s*x them and see how their permanent housing will look! With any luck in just about a month we will get our first eggs!

20 pheasant chicks and 56 quail chicks added to the brooder! The incubator has become a little obsessive. It is so cool to see something come out of an egg, big or small.

The start of our new birds, 27 layers and 28 turkeys!

The start of our quail raising! We are 24 hrs into hatching and have no idea how many have hatched because these things are like kids! They never sit still! We are excited to see how many of the 120 hatch by tomorrow night! The kids are eager to hold one! Never seen a bird so small!
