Wall Of Fame Remains Unbeaten With Kentucky Championship Series Win

LEXINGTON, Ky.— Wall Of Fame flexed her class with a :54.2 back half to ring her undefeated record to five wins with a 1:52.2 effort in the $80,000 Kentucky Championship Series second preliminary for 2-year-old trotting fillies on Monday afternoon (Aug. 17) at The Red Mile.
Driver Andy Miller glided towards the top with Wall Of Fame and cleared narrowly through a :29.4 first quarter while Heart Of Secret (driven by Yannick Gingras) brushed by for the lead. Miller then looped Wall Of Fame back to the point and reclaimed command snugly to a :58 half before gathering steam through the far turn. Wall Of Fame clocked three-quarters in 1:25.3 and rolled for home to leave her competitors straggling through the lane while she cruised over the line a three-length winner. Heart Of Secret held second with Fleur Delacour (Dexter Dunn) rallying from second over for third, Sweetest Of All (Scott Zeron) taking fourth and Kissme Ifyoucan (Austin Hanners) tiring from a first-over push in the last turn for last in the quintet.
Julie Miller trains Wall Of Fame, a daughter of Walner-Saadet, for owners Andy Miller Stable Inc., Jean Goehlen, Hutchison Harness LLC and Rick Huffman. The filly, purchased for $60,000 as a yearling at the 2025 Lexington Selected Sale, has banked $190,000 through her career and paid $3.26 to win.
Trainer Marcus Melander swept the pair of $30,000 Kentucky Commonwealth Series divisions for 2-year-old trotting fillies on the undercard as part of a hat trick on the day. Turtle Dove (Tim Tetrick, 1:54.4 winning mile; $7.16 to win) inherited the win in the first division via disqualification of 6-5 favorite Merry Zee (Yannick Gingras), who crossed the line first but was placed last for switching to a pace in the last sixteenth, while Jot It Down (Dexter Dunn, 1:55.4; $14.44) powered first up to win the other division over stablemate A Tale Of Kemp (Marvin Luna). Melander’s hat trick concluded with a win by Mine Mine Mine (Dexter Dunn, 1:56.4; $4.60) in the second of three $10,000 divisions for the Kentucky Wildcat Series.
Four $15,000 divisions of the Kentucky Golden Rod Series also hit the track on the 15-race card. Trainer Petter Engblom doubled with wins by Hanna Hill (Andy McCarthy, 1:54; $5.30) and Mooncraft (Yannick Gingras, 1:54.1; $5.08) while Your Grace (Marvin Luna, 1:56; $13.56) and London Bi (Andy Miller, 1:56.4; $9.26) won the other dashes.
Live harness racing at The Red Mile continues on Monday night with a makeup card of Kentucky bred action from Sunday’s suspended program, and then the week’s regularly scheduled racing resumes on Tuesday (Aug. 18) with a 15-race card headlined by an $80,000 Kentucky Championship Series division for 3-year-old pacing males and an $80,000 Kentucky Championship Series division for 3-year-old trotting fillies. First-race post time for Tuesday’s card is 1 p.m. (EDT).
