Mountaineer Basset Hounds Basset Hound owner, breeder and lover of the breed. My love for them started over 16 yrs ago and hasn't stopped. I will never not have a Basset in my life!

I've had 11 Bassets over the years and currently have 5 ranging from almost 11 yrs old to 3. Mountaineer Bassets is located in the heart of WV. We have American and European Bassets. Our Bassets are our family and are usually the first to steal the covers! We are not a kennel but a family who loves the breed. As much as I had hoped and crossed fingers neither of my girls got pregnant. I thought there may be a chance CC was but unfortunately not. I believe my male Bruno is no longer producing viable s***m, so I will most likely have to find a different stud. Hopefully I will be able to try again around Sept/Oct. My apologies to all who were hoping to get a puppy :(

I know many have been waiting for news and I'm happy to say
I have bred both ARI and CC.
Chances of puppies are less with having to do AI breedings so say a prayer and cross fingers!🙏🤞

So many have mentioned wanting to hang out, snuggle with, etc, with a pack of Bassets. Im considering putting an Airbnb on my property where my pack would have a connecting yard so they can come stay/hang out with you on your visit. Thoughts?? Would you come stay and play?
