This sweet sugar pie is on his way home today! We missed his greeting and presence as soon as we walked into our house. But, he has an amazing existing family that was so excited to have him- literally the dream kitten for her! I know when he settles in, he is going to keep them on their toes all of his life ❤️ the last picture update we will be posting from his time with us.

Weeks of scary days when we didn’t know when death would strike like it had for the others, looonnnggg days and nights bottle feeding around the clock for 6 weeks, trying to socialize a singleton to love and play without seeing hands as toys… it’s all hard and all worth it. He is starting to mature into the cat I could see when I chose this pairing. Although it didn’t work out how we had planned, I’m thankful for the one we have.

Here’s to 12 weeks of loving you, Lone Ranger ❤️ and a picture of his mom laying down on the job while we do it all 🤭

I was absolutely that mom that couldn’t just narrow down the number of poses that came in a photo package, without having to just get the largest one so I could get them all. Anyone else?

Are all these pictures similar? Yes. Could I narrow it down more? Still no 🤭

So, here’s to 10 weeks loving you, Lone Ranger. Loving you more every single day. Loving every sweet moment we play. And loving the fireball, red head attitude you exude! All the nibbles instead of kisses, all the protests when you don’t get your way. I love it all and I’ll miss you dearly when you go. You’re the kitten I’ve tried hard to guard my heart against for fear you’ll all of a sudden be gone like your siblings. But, you’re still here, still healthy and have never had a moment other than that, so I’m letting go. Here’s to owning my heart for a few more weeks until we pick your mom. LR isn’t available and will likely go to an already determined existing family.

Six weeks loving you, Lone Ranger

He’s not available- just sharing for fun. I don’t have any other babies that are available.

We hope to have our next litters during summer. We have hip and heart exams scheduled in April for Posie, Summit and Alpine.

Editing to add- she is scheduled for surgery on Thursday. Thank you for sharing your first hand experiences to help ease their minds and make a decision which direction to go.

Hi guys! I’m posting for a family so they can remain anonymous but still gain some advise on an accident that happened.

Due to a ladder falling, one of our adult cats has broken her leg near the hip. The vet suggested amputation but of course the family would like to avoid that considering she’s so young.

The only other option is FHO. For those with experience with the surgery and recovery, would you do it again or would opt for amputation if given the choice for one leg?

Happy 3 weeks to the kitten we have worried sick over. I’m pleased to say, his chest shape corrected within a few days of starting to flatten and his back legs work fine now… he was just a little pear shaped and couldn’t quite get up on them yet.

Here’s to hoping we all get to continue watching him discover and grow more in the coming days.

Lone Ranger is now 16 days old. We are still feeding him every 3 hours around the clock but he also enjoys nursing mommy. Sound on for the second video to hear how loud his little motor is!

Lone Ranger is spoiled rotten! Here he is after enjoying his bottle with mom bathing his bottom half and me rubbing his top half.

He’s still doing well. His flat chest is getting better already with massages. I have noticed he isn’t up on all fours as well as he should be for his age so we are monitoring his rear leg strength and mobility but ultimately hoping he is just delayed and that will still come along.

I know so many of you have been curious about our surviving baby so I wanted to share an update. He is in general doing very well. He is starting to develop a flat chest the last day so we are dealing with that but I’ve raised three before successfully so I have hopes he will be no exception. To say this experience has been negative all around would be an understatement but holding him in our hands and witnessing how tender he is already in your hands fills my heart with love so for that I will continue to fight. He’s getting a bottle around the clock and nursing in between. Our current hurdle is mom- she’s experiencing mammary discomfort as expected going from producing for 8 kittens down to feeding 1. She’s being treated for her hyperplasia and discomfort as well and I’m hopeful she will recover in the next few days as her swelling decreases.

Sharing some cute pics of baby from the last week. Most are from the camera as I check on him constantly.

He is thoroughly enjoying his warming disc that my friend Holly recommended and as you can tell, very plump!
