It’s Transport Time!

This weekend, our sweet Riley is hitting the road on a journey toward a brand new life! He’s headed to the amazing folks at Paws Across Pittsburgh, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Paws has once again stepped up in a BIG way, opening their hearts (and space!) to give Riley the second chance he so deserves. Their continued support of Saving Webster Dogs means the world to us—and to every wagging tail we send their way.

Please keep Boone in your prayers.

Our sweet Boone — the gentle Plott hound we believe may be blind — had his veterinary visit, and we now have a clearer picture of what he’s facing.

Boone’s body condition is poor, with a score of just 3 out of 9, meaning he is severely underweight and in a very fragile state. The vet confirmed he has bilateral cataracts with uveitis (inflammation), which is causing his vision impairment. He is also battling intestinal worms, Lyme disease, and some mild elevations in his bloodwork that will need close monitoring.

He will return to the vet for a follow-up in two weeks, and we are hopeful for progress.

We are in conversation with a wonderful rescue – one that we have partnered with in the past — about Boone. While no firm commitment has been made yet, we remain hopeful.

Please keep Boone in your thoughts and prayers as we work to heal him medically and find him the perfect placement so he can begin the next phase of his journey.
